All athletes have the right to compete in sport knowing that they and their competitors are clean. Welsh Netball believes in clean netball and work in partnership with UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) and the International Netball Federation to ensure that they integrity of netball is protected.
The use of performance-enhancing drugs and other doping behaviour severely damages the legitimacy of sport and undermines the integrity of clean athletes.
Welsh Netball has in place a set of anti-doping rules that all athletes, coaches and athlete support personnel must abide by. The anti-doping rules for Welsh Netball are consistent with the World Anti-Doping Code which governs anti-doping internationally. You can download a copy of the World Anti-Doping Code below. You can also view a copy of the WADA Prohibited List (2019) below.
The anti-doping rules of Welsh Netball are the UK Anti-Doping Rules published by UK Anti-Doping (or its successor), as amended from time to time. Such rules shall take effect and be construed as the rules of Welsh Netball.
The International Netball Federation is unequivocally opposed to the practice of doping in sport and fully supports the position of the International Olympic Committee/World Anti-Doping Agency (IOC/WADA) against the use of banned substances and methods.
If you are a member of Welsh Netball then the anti-doping rules apply to you, regardless of the level at which your participate.
